Glancy Design Curtains & Blinds was started by Anna-Louise Glancy in 2009 as a new creative adventure after a career in law. Anna has always been a keen artist and loved sewing and making things.

After a part-time course studying interior decoration at KLC in London and experience working with an interior designer at Colefax & Fowler, Anna discovered curtain making and Glancy Design was born.

Glancy Design is now based in Hampshire at Anna's home she shares with her husband and two young sons. Anna enjoys the juggle of raising a young family, running the family home and looking after too many pets — but it is escaping to the workroom and sewing that is Anna's respite from the family chaos.

Anna learnt to make curtains and blinds following traditional hand sewing methods with hand-pleated headings. She makes beautiful curtains and blinds incorporating the best quality interlinings and linings, curtain poles and fabric suppliers. Anna takes a lot of pride in the finish of her projects and has a keen eye for detail to ensure everything fits perfectly.

Anna can fit blinds and curtains herself where possible, and can recommend trusted fitters for larger jobs.
